Palms.. PDAs..
PITIFUL!!!
Yup, poor poor pitiful me. I've owned my Tungsten E2 for less than 24 hours and in the 1st step process of *charging it* have already had to call tech support. For an abstract thinker, I can be concrete as... concrete... (just ask about the time my husband and I were asked to go up a flight of stairs *one at a time*). When I followed the directions for dummies (pics and all) it said to let the device charge for 3 hours. Now, have YOU ever seen a device that didn't have a bar or screen that indicated it was charging? No. I didn't think so. Well my Palm doesn't have one! So before it charged, I clicked *next* and well, you guess the rest. Punching a few hundred buttons doesn't help. Lost in a flurry of menu screens I threw in the towel and called the nice girl at tech support whose accent was indiscernable to a yankee like me. I GUESS it's charging now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sully, most of the time I manage to get technological things to work, it's because I've managed to *rig things up* some discombobulated way. Ask the guys I play with, they're always like *how the heck did you do that*?. Just glad to hear you got great news about you mom. Have a great holiday.

Been offline for ages cos technology got the better of me too! In fact I had to re-format my puter and lost EVERYTHING (over 1000 songs, shed loadsa pics etc, you get the picture!)
Anyhoos, I'm back now and popped in to say a belated HAPPY CHRISTMAS!! Hope things are good with you. I put a load of Spiny photos on me blog and I had a digital camera of Santa so I'll take some photos of Spiny Normans next gig (tomorrow night!!!) and post them too. Take care hun.

I'm in the computer field and am always embarassed when I have technical problems, but I deal with big computer systems not the desktops or the handhelds. I have to frequently reboot my Palm 700W and have struggled with many issues with that thing. Can usually figure it out with time and searching the Palm help files, but...

Update on the PDA.. I had to RETURN IT FOR ANOTHER!!!! Guess all the flukes weren't MY FAULT!!! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year everyone!!! An ENT= ear nose and throat doctor. He threaded a longggggg tube down my throat and declared my vocal cords lovely. However, given that I am choking on everything I eat, I've now got to undergo a barium swallow on videotape. Ew.
